Renewals and reservations
After signing in to the online catalogue one can renew borrowed items before the due date has expired and providing that no one else has reserved them. That way one can also reserve items borrowed by other users.
Please return borrowed items in due time at the circulation desk. For returning books outside of opening hours book return boxes are at your disposal infront of the main library as well as infront of all subject libraries.
As a special service the library is sending e-mail reminders before the due date is expiring in order to prevent fines.
Extended loan periods for diploma candidates
Students of TU Graz who are currently working on their theses are given an extended lending permission, thus being admitted loan periods of three months and being allowed to borrow up to 25 items.
Students about to take their diploma thesis who apply for this status have to enter the (temporary) title in their personal card in TUGRAZonline under "theses". Students doing their PhD thesis get the extended lending permission automatically.
If you don't return items by the due date, you'll be fined. You will receive an overdue notice if you do not return due books in time. For the first overdue notice a fine of EUR 1,65 will be charged. The second overdue notice will cost EUR 3,30, the third EUR 4,95. In addition, Eur 0,15 per item per day are charged as overdue fee.
Please return books in due time! Users without e-mail address will receive the first and second overdue notice per mail, the third overdue notice will be mailed as registered letter.
